The number of uninsured drivers is rising alarmingly causing threat to the UK roads. The drivers driving on road uninsured are rising, and it is extremely worrying factor for the safety of UK roads. Chicago Toyota announced on Thursday that it is recalling more than 300 000 sport utility vehicles in the United States to fix faulty airbag sensors.

The automaker said the sensors which are designed to detect vehicle roll angle can malfunction and inadvertently cause the side curtain airbag and seatbelt to be activated.

The sensor malfunction does not prevent the airbag from deploying during a collision, Toyota said in a statement.

A Toyota spokesperson said the Japanese automaker has received defect-related reports of “minor injuries, including a report of a persons hand being cut by a seatbelt in March”.

The recall affects 214 000 RAV4 vehicles and 94 000 Highlander and Highlander HV vehicles from the 2007 and 2008 model years. Sa

For once, insurance companies are not to blame for this but your fellow motorist (or at least some of them) is. An insurance company has launched a Road Respect campaign to improve the behaviour of the British motorists while driving. The good driving behaviour ensures road safety and results in lesser road accidents.

According to a research, around one third of the drivers get furious on other road users at least three times within a week.  The survey recognised the reckless driving behaviour for the drivers who feel they do not posses any bad driving habit.

Many road users driving too close to the rear offend around 72% drivers. While around 68% of the motorists wish to make it an offence to use mobile phones while driving.
